So far I've tried reinstalling inventor, I've reinstalled office, the computer isn't even really that old in terms of the windows install. Excel works and I use it regularly, it doesn't have weird addons, either. The only clue I can offer is that when I try to run excel after trying to do threading in inventor, it says that it failed to start up and asks if I want to try starting excel in safe mode.
