    Jun 12,  · Windows 10 is supposed to have a small notification icon in the task bar to notify that you that the system needs to restart to complete the installation of updates. It's similar to the yellow exclamation point notification from Windows 7, except that it doesn't notify you until the update installation already started and requires a reboot.
